Mrs. Whalen's 3rd Trimester Classes

English 9

          1.  Read "Romeo and Juliet"-- There will be worksheets on each day's reading and a final test at the end of the book.

         2.  Weekly spelling lists-- Spelling sentences must also be written for each word and handed in every Friday.

         3.  Daily journal writing-- Students will need a spiral notebook or a composition notebook for this.

         4.  Writing skills-- Students will work on exercises to improve their sentence structure and build their paragraphs.

English 10

           1.  Read "Julius Caesar"

         2.  Weekly spelling lists

           3.  Daily journal writing

                     ***These three will follow the same guidelines as #1-3 in Eng. 9.

         4.  Research writing skills-- students will research, edit, and summarize articles from various types of resources.  In addition to this, they will also write bibliographies from a variety of resources.

                     

Biology

        1.  Chapters 20-25, 29, and 45-50 will be covered.

        2.  Lessons will consist of daily highlighting, discussion, worksheets, and quizzes.

        3. The biggest portion of the 6-weeks grade will come from the daily quizzes and chapter tests.
